Can I Just Talk to a Human Being Please?
I don’t know about you, but I hate it when I call a customer service number and reach an automated menu. Then I have to press so many buttons it’s like I’m entering in a security code for the NSA! The really annoying part about it is that most of the time I just need one simple question answered and by the time I get a human operator I’ve already wasted about 15 minutes. The only way I can speed up the process is if I have already called and I know what numbers to push in order to get a human operator. Then it’s not as painful.
The other day I came across an awesome website that obviously realizes the pain of calling customer service. The website is a directory that you can search by business. When you find the business that you would like to reach there is a phone number to call and a sequence of what buttons to push in order to get a human operator. It also lets you know what the average wait time is and how others rate it. Awesome!!!!
